SHAKAMBARRICHILD & SKIN CLINIC
Aesthetic dermatology & paediatrics, Kharadi

Healthy skin begins with the right diagnosis.

Most skin and hair problems get treated before they are understood. At Shakambarri a dermatologist examines you, names the cause, and writes the protocol, then reviews it with you as it works. And if it is your child who needs seeing, a paediatrician is in the next room.

Who you will see

Two specialists. One clinic. One family.

A dermatologist and a paediatric neonatologist practise here together. A mother can have her pigmentation reviewed and her infant checked in the same visit, without booking two appointments across two parts of Pune.

What makes this different

A doctor decides your treatment. Not a package.

Kharadi has no shortage of skin clinics. What it has less of is a dermatologist who sees you at the first visit, at the review, and at every step in between.

Diagnosis before treatment

Acne has six common causes and they need different medicine. You get an examination and a named cause before anything is prescribed or scheduled.

One protocol, reviewed

Treatment runs as a planned course with review points. If your skin is not responding by a given session, the plan changes. You are not sold more of the same.

The whole family, one address

Dermatology and paediatrics under one roof. Parents are not sent elsewhere for a child, and children who need a specialist are not handed a referral slip.

Before and after

Your Shakambarri visit is due.

Shakambarri is the goddess who nourishes, the bearer of greens. The name was chosen deliberately. The aim here is skin that has been fed and repaired, not skin that has been covered up. Drag each slider to see the change.

Your visit, start to finish

What actually happens when you walk in.

No mystery, and no selling at the desk. This is the sequence every patient goes through.

01

You are expected

The front desk confirms your slot and sends a reminder. Walk in, and there is no queue for a booked consultation.

On arrival
02

Examination

Your history is taken, including medication, family pattern and what you have already tried. Then the skin, scalp or child is examined directly.

15 to 20 minutes
03

The diagnosis

You are told what the cause is and why, in plain language. Tests are ordered only if they would change the treatment.

Same visit
04

A written plan

You leave with the protocol, the number of sessions, the cost, and what to expect at each stage. Nothing is decided at the counter.

Before you leave
05

Review

Fixed review points check whether it is working. If it is not, the plan is revised. That is the point of reviewing.

Settings chosen for your skin, not a preset.

Indian and South Asian skin carries a higher risk of pigmentation after treatment. That is why every laser session is dialled in individually, and why these procedures belong under a dermatologist rather than at a salon counter.

Laser console showing fluence, pulse duration and skin cooling settings

Every session is set, not repeated.

Before each laser session the fluence, pulse duration and contact cooling temperature are set for your skin type and the area being treated. Those numbers change as your course progresses.

It is the difference between a treatment that works over six sessions and one that leaves marks after two.

In patients' words.

I have been coming here a while and it has been consistently good. Dr. Ingale is attentive and really good at what he does. Sticking with the routine has made a real difference to both my skin and my hair.

The material they shared with me on hair health and sun protection was informative and clearly well researched. It is rare to be taught something at a clinic rather than just sold something.

Before you book

Questions we are asked every week.

Walk ins are seen when there is a gap, but consultations are prioritised for booked patients. Booking ahead means you are seen at your time rather than waiting, and the doctor has your history before you sit down. For a sick child, call and we will fit you in.

Skin, hair, laser and aesthetic concerns are seen by Dr. Babasaheeb Ingale. Anything to do with a newborn or a child, including feeding, growth, vaccination, asthma, allergy and illness, is seen by Dr. Geeta Ingale. A child's skin condition may be seen by either or both, depending on what it is. Tell us the concern when you book and we will put you with the right one.

The first visit is a full consultation covering history, examination, diagnosis and a written treatment plan with costs. You are never asked to commit to a course on the day. Current consultation fees are confirmed when you book.

It depends entirely on the condition. Active acne usually shows change within four to six weeks. Pigmentation and hair loss are slower and are measured over months, with photographs at review points so the change is objective rather than remembered.

Yes, when the settings and strengths are matched to your skin type. Indian and South Asian skin carries a higher risk of pigmentation after inflammation, which is why fluence, pulse duration and cooling are set individually at every session rather than run on a fixed protocol. This is the main reason these procedures should be dermatologist supervised.

Yes, and that is much of the point of having both specialities here. Many parents book their own consultation alongside a child's vaccination or check up. Mention it when booking and both slots are put together.

SOHO B-109, opposite YOO Villas, Kharadi, Pune. It is a short drive from EON IT Park and World Trade Center. Parking is available in the building. Evening slots up to 9 PM suit patients coming straight from work.

Bring whatever you have, including prescriptions, photographs and reports. Knowing what has already been tried and what it did is one of the most useful things in reaching the right diagnosis, and it often shortens the treatment.
